This is Lentil, we light a candle through every meal. We have lit over 7 million candles over 12 years. Be part of the revolution/revelation participation enriches the individual. It is a satisfaction derived from the journey and its experiences. The resource of Lentil is the sum of its volunteers. When individual give of themselves, they make an investment in themselves and the returns are immediate and priceless.

Because, It is important that people from all walks of life sit together, eat together, respect one another and encourage one another. Contribute to it! This is the future.



What will you get?

You will get a unique experience by volunteering at Lentil as Anything. You will have the opportunity to make new friends from all over the world as Lentil is a multicultural organisation. Moreover, you will be trained by our qualified, experienced trainer, Ulrich Tyr-Egge. Last but not least you will get a reference for your next step. And many more unexpected great surprises!

Beside all of the good things that you will get, volunteering at Lentil as Anything means you are doing something for the community as well. Lentil serves around 6000 meals a week and help a lot of people who can't afford to get proper food and have access to community. How it works?

Turn up at the volunteer induction on tuesday at 4:30pm, get a funky apron, attend the training and become an ambassador for change, lend the uniqueness of your character to your community. Help repair the damaged to their rightful place in society.

Sample Conversation: (true story from Lentil St.Kilda ^^)
volunteer: "Hi, I'm Sugie. I always wanted to serve tables with a pineapple strapped to my head"
Lentil manager: "Sorry Sugie, we have a rule here, a minimum of 2 pineapples need to be strapped to your head"
volunteer: "Apron please!"
