Barkly Hotel

Barkly Hotel is a historic building in Footscray. The hotel was refurbished by Yarra House Community Housing a registered not-for-profit housing organisation for commercial and community-based space. The complex comprises 36 studio apartments, 12 one bedroom units, 23 two bedroom units, a roof terrace, bike store, community arts space, gallery and a cafe.

Lentil as Anything Footscray

Lentil Footscray was a bold step in the right direction. Set up at the foot of the Barkly complex in 2009, Lentil forms the vanguard of Yarra Community Housing’s visionary CEO’s (Rob Leslie) dream to repair low income members in our community to their rightfull place.

Footscray is a culturally vibrant melting pot. Bringing Sudanese, Indian, Vietnamese and other ethnicities to brandish their sense of community was a bold ambition. Come to footscray Lentil and experience the cohesion we have achieved through trust and inclusion.
