Preston closes

PRESTON Lentil as Anything customers will taste Param’s famous dosa for the last time this week.

After nearly three years of serving the local community, the beloved pay-as-you feel restaurant – affectionately known as Prentils – will close its doors to the public.

The site on High St, Preston is one of five Lentil as Anything restaurants in Melbourne.

Tasneem Chopra, chair of the Lentil board, said it was a tough decision for Lentil as Anything, but one that will allow the not-for-profit organisation to expand its efforts beyond the restaurants and into catering and event spaces.

“After a quiet Winter, Preston has decided to close its doors to focus more on some exciting new projects – namely growing our Catering Arm, building on our newest restaurant in Thornbury and developing our pay-as-you-feel event space Common Ground to name a few,” Tasneem said.

She encouraged the Preston community to migrate to Thornbury to help support the restaurant which recently opened Melbourne’s first pay-as-you-feel event space, Common Ground.

She wanted to thank the Preston community for their loyalty and support.

Lentil as Anything, Preston is currently available for private hire for functions.
